Performance Results

The training of the young horses has been going very well. There are always new youngsters being started under saddle and this year will see the Makuba son, Mista Q get his first lesson undersaddle since he will be three in April, 2009.

Mudallion, Rise & Shine and Mista Q will all be making their way to the dressage ring in the summer of 2009. Mista Q has already shown his willingness to work when we pointed him at the jumping chute as a 2 year old. By the third go he was jumping like a pro and needed no urging. The plan for Mudallion is to continue his classical dressage training with lots of trail riding thrown in for fun.

Below is a photo of the young horse, Marko, (left) who is already being shown at the advanced level in combined driving. His owner, Boots said that she took it easy with her pair and they still achieved an amazing second place, while the reigning champions took first at Katydid in North Carolina. We are wishing them all good luck in the coming show season.
